Quest Diagnostics eScreen, will migrate to the Microsoft Azure cloud on August 23-25, this may cause a disruption or delay in service

eScreen, Quest Diagnostics’ collection software partner, will migrate their eScreen123 platform to the Microsoft Azure cloud on August 23-25. This notification is to inform you of the upcoming change, which will impact the ability to perform electronic Custody and Control Form (CCF) collections at Quest patient service centers (PSC) and network collection sites during this migration window.

What to expect during the period of eScreen’s migration to the cloud:

  • eScreen’s migration window is from Friday, August 23 at 8pm CST and will go through Sunday, August 25 at 8pm CST. eScreen123 will be unavailable during this time.
  • Any orders received by Quest during this time will be held over and sent when eScreen123 is back online.
  • QPassports will still be issued and will need to be presented to the collection site for collections after August 25.
  • Quest patient service center appointments will not be available to be scheduled on Saturday, August 24.
  • Donors with appointments scheduled as of today for Saturday, August 24 will be accommodated, and specimens will be collected on multi-part paper CCFs where possible.

To eliminate the risk of donors being turned away at the collection site, please advise donors to schedule collections prior to Saturday, August 24 or after Sunday, August 25.

Following eScreen’s migration to the Microsoft Azure cloud you should not experience any change in services or the look and feel of eScreen123 collection software.

We are proactively communicating with you to ensure you are aware of the potential impact these scheduled changes by eScreen may have on orders and specimen collections. That said, the migration window is limited and during a time of the week where minimal donors may be impacted. Quest Diagnostics teams are aware of the eScreen migration to the cloud and are prepared to manage any orders that may be impacted during this event. If you have additional questions, please reach out to your account manager. If there are any lingering issues following the scheduled migration, we will be sure to communicate with you. Thank you for your understanding, we truly appreciate your partnership.
